Not so dead that I'm not here, anon.
My love for bullying little girls and my love for the meidos will keep this site alive!
We must have gone to hell then.
That would explain a lot, actually.
I believe so, yes.
Why should the bunker be heavily populated when the main site is still up?
Because the future is uncertain.
>no Josh's ghost fucking shit up from the past
>no attention whore furfags, mlpfags or normalfags yet
>small, non-cancerous userbase

>no attention whore furfags, mlpfags or normalfags yet
Speaking of, I wonder if I should make a rabbit rabbit thread here too.
Actually things seem to be getting better.
Josh got fed to the pigs, Next was scrapped and HW will work towards fixing the site.
H-How did you find us? I wasn't trying to hide here from you or anything like that.
File: 1454111817477.jpg (226.21 KB, 422x542, 211:271, s - 623145 - _3 1girl anim….jpg)
I browse /a/ too. I care about when we have trouble, so it's only natural I noticed that we had a bunker.
I'm glad this site exists
I'm having more and moreissues with 8ch
>I'm having more and moreissues with 8ch
It works just fine for me now, what bothers you anon-kun?
The site was fucked up because one of Josh's "fixes" for Vichan, before he was hired for Next, fucked the site. They disabled the post count so it's better now.
They are fixing everything else now though, so the site will soon be virtually perfect, safe for the community and daily capcha.
The community fell on the fucking floor and crashed into a million pieces. /sp/ is gone meaning cool interboard things like /icup/ are now stillborn, at least an eighth left from the months of buggy posting, and at least a quarter jumped ship after the confirmed announcement of Josh's incompetence. It will take months maybe even a year to get back to where we were 6 months ago.
The best that could happen now would be resetting the sites community back to september'/s, but I doubt it'll happen.
well the imageboard experience improved slightly since josh was removed and the site had been unfucked by a fraction, but in the period preceding that it was plain painful, for me at least
There is not much to complain about regarding the /a/ community but on most other popular boards it feels like having a jehova witness roommate (I think everybody knows what I'm talking about) that doesn't shut up about babylon's secret agenda and boogeymen
this is not what I visit imageboards for
I'm happy we can have one without that
I miss september, I even miss the HE poster.
I miss the romanian shitposter before /b/ went to shit.
Don't worry my lovelies, nothing bad can happen here.
>(WAS BANNED FOR THIS)
Truly, you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone.
>but on most other popular boards it feels like having a jehova witness roommate (I think everybody knows what I'm talking about) that doesn't shut up about babylon's secret agenda and boogeymen
Jesus shit, this. If I want to talk about something on 8ch that isn't on /a/ or a super niche board, it's impossible to actually talk about the subject material because some group of retards have to go "but you know what the real issue is here? [insert boogeyman]." in almost every thread.
It doesn't happen on /a/ (bunker implied/included), which I'm thankful for.
Isn't that always the way of things.
It doesn't happen, because it gets rightfully banned for being off-topic. That what moderation is for.
>that's what moderation is for
Is it really though?
I always think of mods as someone who tends to things users can't tend to like spam or raids and such, not as fun police (although it's mod's job to decide when fun ends and bannable offences begin)
I like it when moderation is mostly invisible and on topic rules are lax, because as much as I like to discuss anime and manga I just like chatting with you fellas
Not blogging and such
Just cute girls chatting about cute things
Or maybe I'm just old fashioned, I dunno, I tend to associate "WE GOTTA STAY ON TOPIC" mentality with reddit influx and I dislike it very much.
>because as much as I like to discuss anime and manga I just like chatting with you fellas
Me too. The most fun I have with non-/a/ related topics are on /a/.
>"WE GOTTA STAY ON TOPIC" mentality with reddit influx
No way, the "EVERY BOARD IS /b/" concept absolutely exploded during the reddit influx because at that point, /b/ was the nesting site for reddit and what the redditumblr audience based their entire view of the site around. If anything, the desire for moderation was a reaction to people defending redditkiddie posting as "board culture"
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like 8chan is different now, though I couldn't tell what changed or how. I think I'll just stay here for awhile, even if only a few of us are here, talking about random stuff.
>Just cute girls chatting about cute things
You are certainly someone who can tell the difference between shitposting and funposting. Sadly, there are people who can't, and think off-topic means something strictly outside anime and manga, but off-topic can also mean outside of /a/ relevance, that's what some people don't understand. And actually, /a/'s moderation is pretty lax if you focus on the medios themselves. It can take hours for a meido to delete a shitpost thread on her own, it can take days to delete a post. Most of the time they just follow the reports, so it's not so much the meidos who are strict, is the /a/nons.
I have a little smug face in my bookmarks and I don't plan to remove it any time soon.
Whoever administers this site should look into borrowing cards from doushio
Just saying though
I kind of agree. Doushio has an interesting setup and I think it would work well here, but it's far more like IRC in that people are encouraged to treat the site like a channel but with the ability to embed images. Their post options for a purely default setup are pretty on point, though.
Random question: do you (or anyone else here) happen to have that google doc that one anon made of the long list of alternate imageboards he investigated as possible nice places left on the internet?
Thanks. It's still pretty interesting to read despite it being kind of outdated.
The Fighting Amphibians page is also pretty inaccurate since those were the boards that were made when Kalkin handed GAR admin powers and all the rep/steam login things came around when That Guy handed Kalkin admin.
Eh, I actually like vichan quite a lot. It looks and feels like a real imageboard.
Fuck captcha's. Bunker is best
Post counts everywhere across the site are down, everyone's probably dropping off due to the issues.
Dwindling post quality across the major boards outside /a/, new tech problem every other week, bots on the slower boards, I don't really blame anyone for wanting to leave.
Bunker is probably gonna be so best.
If anons actually come and post. Who knows where they're all fucking off to.
For now 8ch still more or less works, so we're at the same place as in December when we opened this bunker.
I always forget how fast this baby posts. I love you, server-chan.
Agreed, it doesn't do shit against spammers or bots and only annoys users. Too bad cripplekike wants to keep the daily capcha.
This fresh hell of captcha bullshit is just about enough to put me over the edge.
I can't believe this place is 3 months old.
8chan really is being unusually shit today, isn't it?
I had to renew the cert, so yes it is 3 months old.
>Post error 3 times in a row
If this doesn't improve I'll make threads for the spring shows here.
Thanks for doing that.
If I wasn't so busy at work I'd have made them by now myself. Go ahead, I'll shitpost in them!
If you want to shitpost check out gs.smuglo.li. It's a distributed Twitter like thing. It's strangely fun. Lots of redditors and leftists, though.
Can we simply just migrate here already? 8ch doesn't seem to get better, so I assume, sooner or later we'll have to go somewhere else, I don't see why should we wait. Also, what does 8ch have that this place don't?
Other boards, I guess.
I meant only /a/ should come here, that way we would have a functioning board, and you can always go back to visit whatever board you are interested in.
I wonder how much work it would be for HW to redirect /a/ to here.
That'll have to be up to the meidos since who knows how long this site will be up.
What is HW even doing nowadays, last time I heard about him when Josh got the boot. Is he trying to fix the site or just simply doesn't give a shit anymore?
I'm having far too much fun with my GNU/Smug twitter-like thing to ever stop paying for this server.
There's also an icecast server running on here in case a certain DJ gets banned from the r/a/dio again.
He's working on a language made of smileys.
Oh God, that place is too lewd for me.
I'll post too since I dont have to retry every post 3 times before it works.
I don't know how to describe my initial feelings. It's like watching someone having a mental breakdown and making a fool out of himself.
>Oh God, that place is too lewd for me.
W-what kind of people use this site? Is it anons from /a/ or leftists and redditors like >>394429 said?
The site I mean is gs.smuglo.li
Other than shit like captcha and post errors, nothing. I'm guessing most people are either lazy or think this place is dead because of the lack of posts.
>think this place is dead because of the lack of posts
It's self-fulfilling prophecy. The site is dead because no one posts here. No one posts here because the site is dead. I still think we should try to migrate here.
I agree, but what I'm saying is that most come here, go "hur dur dead place" and leave. Making more threads and posting more here would probably bring more users.

>Putting your FAQs in the modal
It's just personal preference but I think that having a html page like on the "classic" site would be a whole lot cleaner instead of shoving everything into a modal on the "new" one, unless you know something that I don't.
Boycotting 8/a/ to post here instead would surely make people ask where all the posters went
From the looks of it, its a twitter-like site but GNU flavor. I made an account for fun
8/a/ is down right now, hopefully /a/nons find their way here
It seems fine for me. It was shitty so I came over anyways.
It's distributed, so you can talk to people on other servers who unfortunately are mostly reddit.
From what I've seen it's mostly one guy (nepfag) posting /pol/ shit. That was just the front page though, and I'm not sure what algorithm determines what posts end up on the front page.
It's the newest local posts.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm just gonna stick around here for a while.
It's not like he's going to /a/ or anything.
You don't get the consequences of this.
A guy with millions of followers on Twitter is openly advertising 8chan. Do the math.
As long as you are here to discuss anime or cute things.
But of course!
Umbrellas are cute, right?
They are very cute.
I doubt it will effect /a/ and I don't care about the rest of the boards. Except /cute/.Also we have this bunker, we are safe.
>"Oh hey, look, an aneemay board! I can't wait to talk about my favorite narootow episode!"
>/monster/ flooded with minecraft porn
>/art/, /loomis/ and any other draw boards/threads flooded with deviant art tier drawings
T-thank god I'm always wrong.
Then we ban the all.
I wouldn't worry about it for these reasons:
A - "chan" still scares people away
B - they're not desensitized to the stuff we post regularly
C - they'll be targeted by everybody else for easy trolling
D - if they make it through all of that, they're still going to get banned for breaking etiquette
E - anybody who sticks around will eventually assimilate
Hell, I'd just make a guro thread and encourage everybody to post unspoilered images if things got bad enough.
I still remember when a few loli "triggered" redditors and they left.
Guro only scares away normalfags who don't use chans. Normalfags who already grew a thick skin won't flinch, but they will flee at the sight of toddlercon, those who would remain would still be identified and removed when they complain.
Deal like the skeleton inside you.
>A guro and a toddlercon thread
>both sticked and unspoilered
A weapon to surpass metal gear.
Maximum file size is now 50MB instead of 8
I took a 3-month break from imageboards. How did the Josh drama unfold? Is 8ch dead? Did everyone go back to 4chan?
>How did the Josh drama unfold?
Infinity never ever
>Is 8ch dead?
No, but post errors come and go as they please
>Did everyone go back to 4chan?
>Maximum file size is now 50MB
Whelp, time to post entire episodes of anime.
Tiny dimensions, of course.
Probably not of good audio quality.
>tfw I abandoned this chan
I'm sorry, /a/nons…
Are you saying goodbye or coming back?
Welcome back /a/non-kun!
Welcome home Anon.
Holy shit, I stopped posting here for a while and I forgot how quickly posts go through.
It can't be helped.
What did you expect?
I love all of you girls! And you can't say it's wrong, because it's the purest form of love!
There's absolutely nothing you can do, your consent isn't needed!
But that’s lesbian!
Yes! And it's the pinnacle of light and love.
Does this trigger you?
>your consent isn't needed!
It isn't rape if we're both screaming.
It is, any problem with it?

love juice, love juice everywhere.
I can't breathe, all I see is pink haze!
How perverted. I had to change my panties after reading that.
what colors are you panties anon
I bet her panties are pink
H-how did you two know? YOU BETTER NOT HAVE BEEN PEEPING ON ME!
Calm down, I wasn't peeping directly, only through my phone's camera.

>1/10 chance posts work on 8/a/
>10/10 chance posts work here
I want to leave the shit hole. Is it finally time to start migrating? Ideally starting with the spring 2016 anime threads and r/a/dio.
Not yet. Give Head Meido a chance to fix it.
