おかえりなさい/a/!

Welcome to another night full of friends, fun, music, and merriment. Grab your daki, a snack, a drink, a blanket, and settle in as we go through a phantasmagorical journey of shitposting and music-listening.

To tune in, point your favorite music player at:

https://smuglo.li/stream.m3u

/r/s are open, but no block requests please.

I'm trying to mix up the playlist a bit, so there'll be some music that's never been played before, some old standbies, and a zetsubou block that doesn't seem to be full of enough zetsubou.

How's the season been treating you? Catching up on your backlog? Anxiously awaiting new series? I've mostly been catching up on my manga backlog since work has been decidedly uncomfy lately and not given me time to watch many things. I also felt like hot trash last weekend, so apologies for making Torpy take over at the last minute.

Nn… Something doesn't seem quite right here. Usually Sund/a/y starts around an hour ago, so let's just do this in the mean time.

 No.460570

How are anons doing tonight, by the way?

I still feel hungover from yesterday. No amount of cawfee and painkillers can help.

 No.460572

>>460571

Eat a pinch of salt and a second pinch of glucose mixed into a glass of water. A can of V8 juice or tomato soup will do the trick too.

I… I guess I'm taking over the sund/a/y stream unless Smithee comes back? This is embarrassing, I wasn't ready for this. Guess I'll throw enough tracks on to last three or four hours.

 No.460574

>>460573

You're doing great. He mentioned >>459530 that he might not be able to stream this week, so thanks for picking it up! This is comfy to meal prep to.

The OP was the best thing of anime after the parts they talk about poop.

Today I went out on the water again. I got to steer for the first time in six odd years and it was pretty fun. At the end I made a hard turn at a decent speed and came close to capsizing, so that was fun. I should mention this was a dragon boat, which is basically just a long canoe with capacity for anywhere between 10-24 oarsmen. Most of them were new to the sport too, so I hope I gave them a good scare.

 No.460579

>>460578

Sounds pretty cool, where are you that you get to row in a dragon boat?

 No.460580

I love this music.

 No.460581

>>460580

I like it too, anon. Unfortunately this is the last song from this CD.

 No.460582

>>460579

Around Vancouver, although apparently it is increasing in popularity in Canada. I can't imagine it's very popular in the interior, but the major metropolitan cities are all on the water so I guess it must be all the chinks bringing it in, even though its has nip origins.

 No.460583

If anons want any of the albums played tonight, just give me a heads up and I'll upload them in the next day or so post-stream in the music thread.

 No.460584

>>460581

And my network connection had a strange crash at middle of the song.

This isn't a lucky weekend.

 No.460585

>>460584

That's alright, anon. Not every weekend is a great one.

 No.460586

>>460585

Thank you, anon. I hope you had better weekend than mine.

 No.460587

>>460586

Nah. I had to stay late at work (an extra two hours) because a fag from a different company needed something done and I was the only guy there who could do it, but he had to drive halfway across the city to get to us. Then it rained/snowed all night so Saturday was spent lounging in bed not doing much before getting absolutely wasted during r/a/dio, and today my shitmouto stole half of the groceries I bought thinking she wasn't going to be around all week/went through two of my 4 five gallon water jugs. It was a pretty crummy week, but that's ok. Shit happens, no use crying over spilled milk.

 No.460588

>>460587

Weekend*

 No.460589

>shitmouto

That is a new good word.

 No.460590

>>460570

I slept in and then did my grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, and cooking for the week. I'm now able to take it easy and not stress about any of that stuff for the week.

>>460578

Some ships will do high speed turns after telling everyone to make sure everything is secured. It's always fun to see what tumbles from where. Sounds like a good time anon.

>>460587

That's the spirit. Take it easy anon. Here's hoping this week goes well.

 No.460591

This album is uncomfy. Anyone agree to scrap it and replace it with some Protomen later?

 No.460592

>>460591

Sure. I like Stack, but I hear what you mean. Lounge is for comfy.

 No.460593

>>460591

I agree.

 No.460594

>>460592

I like the tunes, but it kinda threw off the atmosphere. I think I'll do that after this song.

 No.460595

>>460591

I like it, but I won't say no to Protomen.

 No.460596

I re-calculated, and it looks like I'll only really have time for one Protomen album. Would anon prefer The Coverup or The Father of Death?

 No.460597

The Coverup.

Well, these next few songs from タンベリーのしらべ are basically the end of the stream. We'll have some Protomen after that which will be a little higher energy for any anons who have to get up early tomorrow (just as a friendly warning), and then I'm gonna get some sleep. Thanks for tuning in, and I hope anons had a comfy evening. Piiei said he might be streaming on Friday instead of Saturday, in which case Saturday might be a rest week depending on what happens. We'll see what happens when we get there. Take it east, anon-kun~

 No.460600

>>460599

Thank you for the stream, anon.

Look you are learning how to do a good lounge stream.

How far East are we talking, anon? And what are we taking East anyways?

Hoihoi is a angel.

 No.460606

Allegedly they have a "soft" deadline of having Act III finished this summer.

 No.460607

>>460606

That would be nice.

You'll take my life, but I'll take yours too

You'll fire your musket, but I'll run you through

So when you're waiting for the next attack

You'd better stand, there's no turning back

The bugle sounds, the charge begins

But on this battlefield, no one wins

The smell of acrid smoke and horses' breath

As I plunge on into certain death, oh, oh

The horse, he sweats with fear, we break to run

The mighty roar of the robot guns

And as we race towards the human wall

The screams of pain as my comrades fall

We hurdle bodies that lay on the ground

And the robots fire another round

We get so near, yet so far away

We won't live to fight another day, oh, oh

 No.460609

>>460607

If they do, I'd like to have a 2 or 3 hour block playing nothing but Protomen from start to finish.

 No.460610

>>460609

Would you play the 3 albums? What would the sequence?

 No.460611

>>460610

That's a good question. I'd probably play play them in chronological order.

 No.460612

>>460611

In our timeline or in their timeline?

 No.460613

>>460612

Our timeline would work best.

 No.460614

>>460613

The other alternative would be playing their other albums followed by Act I, II, and III in order.

 No.460615

Well, this is the official end for the 8 or so anons who stuck around. Relax to some beautiful music for the next ten minutes or so, and let's get some sleep.

 No.460616

>>460614

I think their timeline would be II, I and them III.

 No.460617

>>460615

Thank you for the stream, anon.

 No.460618

>>460616

II is the prologue, but it doesn't work without listening to Act I first.

 No.460619

>>460618

I understand. Good night, anon.

Have wonderful week, anons.

 No.460620

>>460615

Thanks, have a good rest. You've certainly earned it.
